The Challenge

Thirty years of reputation, invisible in lesson searches

Family Music Centers has served Las Vegas since 1995, with lessons, instrument rentals, sales and repairs across two locations. Families knew the name. But when parents searched Google for lessons, newer studios with modern websites were the ones showing up.

When Search Console tracking began in mid-July 2026, the site averaged a Google rank of 26.7 for lesson searches and appeared in only about 2,100 of them a month. All that history wasn't being used.

What We Did
01

Rebuilt every lesson page

Dedicated pages for piano, guitar, voice, drums, strings, woodwinds and trumpet, written around how Las Vegas parents search and built on the trust the domain had earned over the years. That is the core of our music school SEO.

02

Gave the second location its own home

A Centennial Hills hub with its own lesson pages, plus separate local business schema for each studio, so Google could tell the two locations apart and send families to the closer one.

03

Cleaned up Google Business Profiles

Requested a merge of a duplicate listing, closed outdated ones, and set the right categories, so map results point families to the right studio.

The Result

Lesson searches up 37x in about three months

Comparing the first month of Search Console data (July 16 to August 15, 2026) with September 20 to October 20, impressions for searches containing “lessons” grew from about 2,100 to 79,000, and the average Google rank for those searches improved from 26.7 to 10.3. Across all searches, impressions grew about 7x and average Google rank improved from 20.8 to 11.9.

Clicks from lesson searches grew from 3 to 57 a month, and total clicks from Google rose from 296 to 345 even though searches for the Family Music Centers name dipped slightly. In other words, the new visitors are families who didn't know the store yet.

And the part that matters most: monthly enrollments have doubled. For a similar story from a smaller school, see how Bucks County School of Music reached page one.
